Sometimes, we fight, we defend, we sacrifice, we do everything to love and be loved. We can be so blinded by one particular person that we almost forget it’s not us who has control. How can we be so sure that the one we fight for, is really the one for us? We fight to defend, to get a new relationship, yet it may lead to another heart break. Have we asked Him to tell us who is best for us?

We can fight til we shed all drops of tears, we can pray, but only He knows the best.

The Goodbye and Hellos

Things go unexpected and surprising way.

Alhamdulillah, my cousins and aunt from abroad can visit Indonesia this month. Today, they will go to their country again. Even though I don’t have a lot of time to gather with them as much as I had last year, I still feel this sadness when I know they’re going back. My gathering with them can be counted: my uncle’s wedding, the trip to the zoo, and the beach. It was only 3 times! I guess it is true that as someone grow old, the chance to be with family gets smaller.

The fact is, I hate goodbye. Especially this kind of family goodbye, as we never know when we will meet them again. Even long-distance friendship with them is hard to do, because of the time difference.

Sometimes I wonder about people who rarely go to the family gathering, even when they had a chance for it. No offense, but family means a lot to me. Maybe some excuses are forgiveable, but I won’t take too many of them. I think, if I make gap with family (and relatives) from now, then in the present the gap might be bigger. Which, in the present everyone may be more busy. This is why, for me it is a hard decision to choose between family gathering and assignments.

Okay, wipe the tears, and smile, because some hellos are around! :’)

The hellos are not from family, but from the acceptance of my team’s proposal in the final stage of PIMNAS XXIII. Alhamdulillah. This is the last stage of the fight we had so far, where we will presentate our project. Some changes happen. I was taught to be, err, more expressive and explosive than before.

The hellos are coming from the people I meet at the PIMNAS drilling. And there might be more when the final stage is up at Bali!

I can’t say anything for now, but I’m going to be in a flight in less than 5 hours.
Wish us luck, everyone! Allow me to introduce my team: Big Zaman, Ade Kurniawati, Andreas Senjaya, and Ardi.

Goodbye Jakarta, hello Bali! Wish us the best! ;D

A Few Updates

It’s been too long I let this blog in its hibernate mode. Let’s write something before the mood wears off.

A lot of things have been going on in the past one month plus plus that I’d like to share.

On a committee, I was asked to be a treasurer. Wow, this position is something that I have almost never done before. Secretary probably is my specialty, but handling money?? That’s something different. Anyhow, I learn a lot from it. Making budget plan, writing down the expenses and income, and finally making the financial report. The trouble I had in this position is that the other committee mostly forget to TAKE THE RECEIPT from the sellers (aka kwitansi). Other thing that is quite nasty is that the report should be with dates, while most of the incomes have no date info on the receipt we have. Daaaang!

In the other committee, I happen to be a staff of the eating section section which take care of the food matters. I kinda love this job, since the job is fun and we deal with lots of food there  And this one will last for a few months, so let’s keep the spirit up!

The new semester have started. More interesting difficult courses are coming, more efforts must be done to accomplish those ones well. Not to forget, more obstacles are in the way. Well, not obstacles, but a few things that might be a distraction this semester. Such as, say, upcoming committees? Emotional distraction? More to come, I guess.

And now of course are Ied Fitr holiday, which is a pseudo holiday for college students, where they bury us with lots of assignments. Ah! How beautiful high school was

Yeehauw, let’s get back to reality! Face your future!
